a haiku poem

two days from right now
a tiger takes a bite out
of the gleaming jungle.

shaking in boots,
alone: the way the willow cries.
it is a long way home .

the underbelly
of the thundercloud is black,
weighted by fire and brimstone.

the roof caves inward,
the room emits a low moan.
a child falls asleep.
